I use earphones for my samsung galaxy S3 phone. Its got a remote control to control volume and pause music. It would be useful if I can use the remote control when I connect it to my laptop to listen to music. Is there a program that I can download to my XP to use the remote control on the earphones?

if you are plugged into your pc with your headphones, why do you need to use a remote control ??

You are right there, unless your headphones have a 20 foot cord or something???

I need the remote control because when I'm lying down, it gets cumbersome getting up and adjusting and pausing the volume. Its very needed.

No, no., no.. When I say remote control I mean the remote control on the headphone where you press a small button on it. Not a remote control like a TV remote control.

Please look at the pic. Circled in red is the remote control thats attached to the earphones. Thats what I'm talking about. I need a program that lets me use the remote control from these earphones on XP.

what is the model number and model of the earphones, what you need is an xp driver to allow the remote control of the headphones to work with the os.

    https://www.google.com/#q=driver+for+samsung+earphones+for+xp

above is a search page for drivers but the specific model and model number are needed and I can search for you.

Hi Liz. Below is the model number for the earphones. Just to clarify, my earphones are corded, so I'd need an XP driver for corded earphones, not bluetooth. Thank you for all your help Liz!

I have searched and cannot find even a manual download or a how to guide so I would say that the next best thing would be to contact samsung support at the link above there are 5 different ways to contact them.

there were no downloads and the manual was unavailable, I am stymied. :)
