Sometimes when I turn on hibernate and set the time for 10 min and leave hibernation works. Then sometimes it never comes on. Have I erased some file or something?

The event handler has not recorded any errors concerning hibernation. The "Application" section shows several warning signs and a couple of red x's but it has nothing to do with hibernation. I thought I read somewhere audio drivers could do this kind of thing. My audio drivers are from my chip manufacturer.

it could be a third party program interfering with hibernation

If I may suggest, turn off hibernation. It's unreliable and needs a huge chunk of HD space to work.

I use Standby. It has never failed for me yet. The worst I have is someone moves the mouse and the thing restarts when I'm not around.
