Hello everyone !

Hi !

I am new here and I'm French, so sorry in advance for my bad English.

I am a fan of windows XP. It is for me the best OS, I have been using it for a very long time it is simple and clear.
Microsoft has never succeeded in remaking such a good OS
I use it everyday on my old Dell Optiplex.
I hope to be able to participate here to continue to keep this wonderful OS alive.

Welcome to the XP forums.

I use Windows XP Professional SP3 32-bit in a Dell OptiPlex 980 minitower.
I started using it when it was released in October 2001, and I've never stopped using it.
It's integrated with updates to May 2019 and has added features and tweaks that allow me to use it on-line in relative safety.

Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit and Windows 10 Pro 64-bit is what I use daily in my full-time Dell OptiPlex 9020 minitowers.
But I still have fondness and nostalgia for Windows XP Professional SP3 32-bit, so I occasionally use it.

Welcome! Glad you're here. And your english is pretty good.

Hi, just joined and french too, I am glad I have found this site and being able to write this on my custom tower with XP updated to SP4 (A Gigabyte motherboard, Q6600 CPU, 1TB HDD, GT 710 graphics and only 2 Gigs of RAM) is wonderful and a true testament that old hardware should not be discarded. Mind you this hardware was a beast way back when and would still be usable with the right OS today (but it is perfect for XP32 gaming).

I plan to use this machine for playing old games I haven't played enough, no productivity, entirely for play.

XP has to be the operating system I liked best, I have to use 10 for my work (on employer's rental) and I use Debian on my Dell laptop with an 8th gen. I5 upgraded to the max (got fed up with Windows 10 and gave it the boot...).

Looks like this site is a great resource for help on any XP related problems. Thanks and keep it up.

Edit: And I can watch YouTube in Firefox on this archaic machine... WOW,,,
