GroMobile 1.3.0 Win32 - Kinetic Desktop Screenmate Game Free - XP Good>>>

Was installing Groboto 2.9.9 & forgot this was in there too... Pretty cool 3D desktop game in kinetic fashion... There are 4 games in it & all made from Groboto assets... Links are dead everywhere even softpedia don't have it saved internal but still on the wayback machine-

GroMobile has/had it's own site (dead there of course)-

http://www.groboto.com/GroMobile.html

Strange this & the Groboto v3 site still up but links all dead for like 12 years now...

Groboto v2 is different from v3... 2 is about bot construction & animation whilst 3 is booleans on crack... Very sharp/clean... They say system requires are the same for v2 & v3 but they are not... V2 installs without extras but v3 wants NET 4.0... Well certainly not on my old machines maybe the Lenovo & the D820...

But for old machines v2 pretty cool... I rendered a bot animation... I resized several times this real small one under 1 MB so it'll mount on here-

That's 920 kb

Maybe this external will load in-

This one's bigger maybe it'll load in-

Some v2 scenes rendered out-

Groboto v2 GUI-

Here's vid using v3 Groboto for a helmet... Very clean/sharp booleans looks like billion polygon zBrush hard surface modeling-

OK... Just drawing out a user bot in v2 Groboto this is what transpired... I guess in this case nothing else need be done however pretty heavy mesh I got 'out of memory' error... Well on this machine it's only 1.25 GB RAM...

But making an alphaed image is fine-

Rendering out I thought light would be too bright but I see it becomes darker... Rendered out as TiFF with alpha then converted to PNG/GIF... In this way Groboto cool to make steampunk parts for 2D photoshop scene or livemotion animation...

Got a Bot to export... Picked like a simple one & then barely drew it out in the viewport, then scaled down the resolution before export... Was STILL 125,000 faces I guess I shoulda scaled down even more... Tried import into Bryce4 but it screwed it up... So I tried Carrara5 which worked quite well...

Groboto 2.9.9 you say!?!?
What of GroBoto 3.3.0??

Methinks this prog was used in the Watchmen Movie. Look at Dr. Manhattan's Mars digs that he creates.
I got a feeling Hollywood bought these guys out with an NDA... :(

Yeah it's 2.9.9d which is the seldom seen update to 2.1.8.1... It is of course the last of v2 does not need NET 4 to install... Might need NET 2 as that is what is on this meager machine I'm using it in... I got 3.3.0 too but going to install it probably first on Dell D820 as I think that has already NET4 from Softimage 2013 & Mudbox 2013 (being both 2013 they allow stuff back-forth) having been installed... It has 4 GB RAM & much better video card... No way I'm installing NET4 on a meager XP machine, it's really setup for Mirai which runs great in it...

Groboto 2.9.9 runs slowly in this HP anyways I'm sure 3.3.0 would be a DOG!

v2 is about Bot modeling & animation whilst v3 is about booleans on crack...

I have that Watchmen movie I'll have to check it out... Thanks>>>

BTW... These genius guys did create an 'addition' to Modo which was like adding Groboto to it in many ways, it was called 'MeshFusion'...

Whelp, Whelp... OK Checked my Dell D820 & it had NET 3.5 so I figured might as well up it to 4.0... then Groboto 3.3.0 install fine... Seems to run fine plenty fluid enough with 4 GB RAM & nVidia GeForce Go 7400 512 MB RAM... Looks like v2 but with the primitives & boolean action...

Plenty to learn...
