Hi there! My name is Cam.

I have been using XP as my only OS since 2001. I absolutely hated Vista, didn't get into 7, hate 8 and its awful UI and refuse to upgrade to that ad-platform/spyware filled OS that is 10.

I have worked on Windows XP coding and development for years and have actually developed my OWN patches for personal use since MS has discontinued development. I have actually started putting together official updates from Windows Embedded and converting them for main XP use. (This version of embedded is based on XP and receives updates until 2019!) so I've been working on porting these over and eventually plan to compile them similar to the fan made Service Pack 4.

I work on an IBM thinkpad R52 and run XP pro SP3 and use it for everyday use.

I think we're all pretty much 'loyalists' here!

    Welcome!

My first computer was a ThinkPad R50e with Windows XP.

Indeed we are all loyalists and the fact we probably all run XP - whether virtualised, on a desktop, on laptop/netbook, either the x86 or x64 version, we are a great community here. (I'm truthful here, this and only one other forum I know of about tech has a proper community aspect to it)

I plan on building an (additional/spare) Ivy Bridge XP machine. Already have the system board, RAM, and CPU. Just need a CPU fan, case & PSU and I'm good to go...
