Getting old version of Ghostery for Firefox

    The latest version of Ghostery is not compatible with the Firefox I am using, which is
    Firefox 45.9.1 Some older versions of Ghostery are available for download at this link.

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ghostery/versions/

    After downloading one of these from the link given how can I install it as an extension to the Firefox browser. There are also links to Github on this page for older Versions of Ghostery.

    Drag into a blank tab place and it should install :)

    I open a blank tab and then where in the tab do I drag and drop this to?

    No no,basicly drag the ghostery file that you downloaded to the place where the tabs are and drop it a place where there are no tabs opened

    Thank you - it got installed but it is not working. The oldest versions shown at the above link go back only up to Sept. 2016, and there it says I need to have Firefox 48 and later for it to work. Since I use Firefox 45 I need help to find Ghostery versions earlier than 7.0.0.113 (Sept. 2016).

    Github has this page - https://github.com/jonpierce/ghostery - but I just can't find the file there.
