Fruity Loops 2.7 Win32 (2000) & Major Extras & Info Cake>>>

Putting together a Fruity package... Not quite ready yet but since the thread will be rather intensive might as well get started...

OH, did a tune today in it to test out the workflow, pretty easy... If I can do it you can do it-

Here's the screen-

Also first time using EZ-BeatCreator to slice up a loop then it loads each slice in on a separate channel... Then it acts like a REX file you can change the tempo without changing pitch... Neato!...

Pretty much finished testing VSTs I recently found these which are VST1 as Fruity 2.7 cannot use VST2-

Voxengo StereoTouch is awesome, using it alot however plugs with interfaces cannot have events automated but most GUI-Less VSTs can & I have tested damn near 600 of them but only a small amount are VST1, but still plenty...

BTW, Fruity Tracks 2.04 will be included as well & one can simply copy the VSTs over to it-

All working good in XP but one should change compat mode to windows 98 otherwise there will be a 'FilterData' error when trying to open select for plugins & the plugins menu will be all blanked out...

The DX plugs pickup where the VSTs leave off, there are a bunch & haven't finished testing... These are quality plugs from yesteryear all thrown out & forgotten & man they were expensive back then just the Waves Gold Bundles was $1,300.00 back then & many other singulars in the 100-300 dollar range...

Here's showing editing of events in a GUI-Less plug-

Here are some of the Waves DX plugs-

The VB Plugs have a stacker where you can add up to 16 DX plugs into a single slot space-

Sonic Madness... More to come>>>

OK... Should have it done within a week... So while u wait might as well look thru the BeatSlicer tut images I made up... You see in this way I don't forget how to do this workflow as well as showing others...

I think I can put one more image on... In this I explain that using Beatslicer you can only use 16-32-64 steps, I don't use anything less than 32 & in the 'Beating On' tune I used 64 steps patterns... Much prefer a 24 or 48 pattern for 'triplets anywhere' but using slices with such is a no go (at least so far as I see)...

However I did some testing & experimentation in that tune & one was using global swing automation to obtain a triplet outcome which worked out pretty well... I only used it on the drums fading-in in the very beginning... I would have to assume the clever Fruity developers made it this way as there is so much clever aspects in this old Fruity most don't fathom yet lost to 'further advancements & features' & time mostly...

By the time Fruity 4.1 had come out they 'screwed-up' the TS-404 so that it would not do extended note lengths & was actually completely removed from FL Studio by like version 11 or 12....

BTW, In the tune I used 2 instances of the TS-404 one panned sort-of left the other sort-of right with somewhat different preset settings giving it a 'large' sound...

How nice of you to say... Yea, This old Fruity is pretty easy to compose in, I'd say one of the easiest ever though Aero Studio is OK but lacks even a manual, On the tracker side Skaletracker is pretty easy but with more advanced abilities...

Fruity 2.7 BTW was the first version that Zero-X BeatSlicer 1.02-4 would work in... I am going to test today slicing a pitched loop (a funk guitar loop) to see how well it works...

That was a nice addition for sure but the real innovation was adding rendering abilities, in the sampler, for SimSynth 1xx & 2xx & MDA Drumsyn PRESETS, no, one does not need to render out a sample to bring into Fruity 2.7 Just a PRESET which are very small... Talk about innovation...

SimSynth 2.7 Standalone is quite a sound powerhouse even by today's standards & When image-line decided to later on make a 'SimSynth' plugin it did not sound near as good as the standalone did... It also has 'MIDI-In' but haven't tried that yet so as Fruity 2.7 also has 'MIDI-Out' one should be able to connect the two via a virtual MIDI port...

Anyways I already had a SimSynth 2.7 thread on here but you can get it here anytime-

https://web.archive.org/web/2006010...il/soft/SimSynth 2.7/SimSynth v2.7CrACkEd.zip

It is pre-medicated so once install is finished it's registered...

Fruity 2.7 also uses presets from SimSynth 1.3 which is freeware & requires no install, Whilst not being in the class of the latter it still is useful for various sounds-

Also MDA Drumsyn presets can be used in Fruity 2.7 which is good for drum & pitched sounds-

Now, I will be including these in the full package but now anybody can grab them & get started... No need to render out any WAVs unless you want to but if you come up with a nice sound SAVE the PRESET!... This will be all you need as Fruity's sampler will recreate it bigger than crap...

Fruity 2.7 does a pretty good job of importing Rebirth RBS files which I will be adding to the package... These are one's that have passed my 'ear test' being reasonably good to excellent musical or technical fashion as many RBS are junk having been done by people putting little effort into the music part...

OK, Tried BeatSlicer on a funk guitar loop... Worked just fine as long as you don't change BPM too low then it starts to get choppy... But bringing in a 120 BPM loop & slicing I could go up to 140 BPM or down to 110 BPM OK, maybe even lower coating with some FX...

Tested 'MIDI-Out' seems to work well... Both Bitheadz Unity Session & DreamStation 1 are setup to be actual MIDI sound modules so have WAV capture as a feature... also worked with AXS tracker pretty slick... Unity has it's own MIDI port, DreamStation & AXS had to use LoopMIDI Port...

Also plan to try it with Yamaha YXG synth which is way better than microshat MIDI synth which is quite terrible sounding...
