Free video manipulation software?

Guys, does anyone know of a good free video manipulation program that would work for XP? Something like Nero, where I can flip videos horizontally, vertically and do simple things like that?

If you have Service Pack 2 or higher you should already have Windows Movie Maker installed.

Go to Start->Run->moviemk.exe

Note it's very basic and has limited video format support but has some of the features you need. This is the only free one I can think of for XP.

Video editing software has come up time and time again. Below is the link where I cover this subject comprehensively from just 2 weeks ago. The absolute best video editing software that will run on Windows XP is:

Cyberlink PowerDirector 12 is designed for XP. It is Offline it is non-subscription.

I have left a link on the forum to the Zipped file on my OneDrive. It took me 6 hours to upload for you guys.

Of Cyberlink PowerDirector 12 along with everything you need including really nice manuals. You will have to work it all out yourself, as it is possibly 10 years since I installed on my XP system.

or

Cyberlink 12.7z

So, you have 3 choices:

  1. Read the discussion (Read discussion all way through for essential info), download and work out how to set it up, ask Secpar for advice, he is the person who has been using it. PowerDirector 12 has great documentation works well on XP. Supports all files. Is very well supported on YouTube, lots of videos showing how to use it. So, you can check them out before downloading. There are also great Tutorial Books and comprehensive Manuals that I have included in the download.
  1. Alternatively use the standard moviemaker that ClippyBeer has suggested.
  1. Use a Windows 10 64bit system. Download the free to use and utterly brilliant OBS Studio, that has hundred of video’s explaining how to use on YouTube. It takes seconds to rotate a video.

Clippy, thank you for the information! Yes, I do have that on my computer system, and you know what, it would have worked out perfectly, but it doesn't work on MP4 video clips! LOL And that's the only video clip I need to have work done on! I just can't seem to win with these things. LOL Okay, I move on. Thanks!

Thank you, Madeleine. I will peruse your entire information post, with a fine tooth comb, and try to figure something out here. Thanks so much!
