    When trying to start my netbook with Windows XP Home I get a message that says:

    "this application has failed to start because msidcrl40.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem"

    I am enclosing a picture of the message as well.

    Mswinext.exe file information

    The process known as MSNĀ® Toolbar or Bing Bar belongs to software MSN Toolbar or Bing Bar by Microsoft (www.microsoft.com).

    If you have one of these, uninstall and then reinstall, this will usually clear problem

    =========

    also what is your current antivirus?

    regardless of what it is do the following:

    Download, install, update and do full scan with these free malware detection programs:

    Malwarebytes (MBAM): http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

    Remove all found, reboot, and run again until scans run clean, these can be removed afterwards if you so choose. Run scans one at a time, please.

    when scans are clean and msn toolbar is uninstalled, do you still get this error?
