    Currently connected to cable internet.
When I look in network connections there is nothing wifi related there.
Someone on my internet/TV service provider community forum said if your hardware is 15+ years old then it probably won't work with modern wifi.

Can wifi work with this old XP system and if so how?
I no nothing about wifi and have always been on cable.

Hard to provide help when all we know is you have XP home. No idea what make/model PC, if it has built-in wifi or whether you even have a WIFI network in your home. Those people on that forum don't know anything so don't follow their advice. Here is my 19 year old Compaq V2000 with a USB WIFI adapter connected to my router's WIFI 5 (802.11AC) network.
