Hello,
I have a handheld device with only one network interface, on which I tried to configure two parallel addresses, one DHCP and one static.
There are howtos in the internet how to do this by editing the registry keys for the network adapter. My problem/question now is the following:
If the device has a constant ethernet link, this works perfectly. But if the network cable is removed and connected again, the adapter becomes active again but has lost its static address (0.0.0.0). I need to deactivate and activate the network adapter again, so that the settings are restored from the registry. What happens here? Can I do anything to prevent this behaviour?
Thanks for reading this. Maybe I can get an answer here.
