Desktop and start menu blank

    My desktop icons and start menu are gone and right-clicking the desktop is unresponsive. This includes safe mode so I can't run diagnostics, PC repair or goback. How can I access control panel or system utilities using task manager only, or is there an online product? Thanks.

    can you press ctrl + alt + del to bring up task manager, then go to file, new task and type in explorer.exe

    this should bring back the desktop, and then you should run some scans on your pc to insure you are free from infections
