Hello ~ For years in windows XP browsers, I have posted photos on facebook and in outgoing emails, and the OPEN FILE box has always presented me with a file list in ALPHABETICAL ORDER.

Recently I did something to change the default file order to MOST RECENT DATE, and that's not what I want. I want to set the default back to alphabetical. How can I fix the default file order in the open file dialogue box?

    thx

    John

YAY! I have solved this problem. Open the dialog box to capture a file, set the order the way you want, THEN CLICK CONTROL/CLOSE to close the box. Windows will now remember the setting.

    Answer credit: Tom's hardware.

    thx
