Current Pending Sector Count

Hello Forum,
My hard drive has 13 entries in, "Current Pending Sector Count," ( Crystal Disk ).
Is it better to make an image of the drive as well as cloning it?
So with an image of the disk, can bad sectors be recovered?

bad sectors are on the disk listed only, not on a different disk, to see if there are any bad sectors on a new disk, run chkdsk preferably with the /r parameter, before imaging the bad disk
