Connecting and dialing from a mobile phone

So I watched this video

And it reminded me of a time that I would of loved (and still do) use my mobile phone as a modem to dial up phone calls and dial up the internet on my computer as well (so as I dont have to keep swapping the sim card over every time)

Then I remembered the icons in the control pannel of a mobile phone connected to the computer, bud sadly I do not know what to do with the date next. Please see the attachments

Can it be done? what dose it all mean please?
