I hope it's not too late to post this but I've been swamped - I had a few Christmas Windows XP themes archived that I want to share just barely in time for the holidays. Microsoft won't let you use any third-party themes unless you patch your uxtheme.dll. The latest version of UXTheme Multi Patcher can be downloaded from: https://www.windowsxlive.net/uxtheme-multi-patcher/ Scroll all the way to the bottom and click the download link. Unzip and run Make sure you untick the 'Set Windows X's Live as default homepage' box and hit 'Patch'. Wait a bit while it modifies the .dll file. Now you can use third party themes! I have 3 you can download in 1 zip file: https://www.mediafire.com/file/21nvwrdibgxklde/ChristmasThemes.zip/file Extract to \WINDOWS\Resources\Themes Use Explorer and navigate to one of the folders you extracted and click on the .msstyles file. Just click 'OK' and you have a festive theme! Happy Holidays!

I've re-uploaded the Christmas themes for XP for new members to this forum since the previous links have expired. https://www.mediafire.com/file/4vaafnljdwofnwt/ChristmasThemesXP.zip/file XP has the most customizable GUI of any Windows versions. Changing color schemes/wallpaper is not the same as having the ability to customize the controls/backgrounds for the entire interface. There used to be a site (stylexp.org) that had the tools for creating your own XP themes but they are defunct.

Thank you - beautiful. I also mainly use the Classic theme highly tweaked to my liking as you can see in some of my pictures that to some eyes appear to be win 7 until you look closer. Thank you for your hard work on this theme. ~Sal
Thanks, but I am not the author of those themes, just the re-poster since the website I downloaded them from is long gone. There used to be a website StyleXP.org that had pages and pages of themes along with tools to create them but again, long gone.
That site has some really cool visual styles I've never seen before. It takes me back to searching deviantart for them. Or transformation packs.
