I'm getting messages on MSN.com saying my browser is outdated. Its IE8 running on XP. Is this no longer valid? I cant seem to access any other 3rd part website without the title message 'Certificate Error'.

ie8 should only be used for checking for updates, get firefox, chrome or one of several other browsers, I use firefox myself as my default browser.

ie8 will receive no more security updates, that is why you do not want to continue using it.

Thanks. I use Chrome and Firefox too. I never use IE8, but none of the other browsers connect at all - I go to chrome and its blocked because of 'Certificate Error'
