    Hi all,

This one is weird. I am downgrading a machine from Vista to XP. I removed the sata drive from the pc and did an unconditional format on it using my bridge (like I have many times before on other installations) - so it was formatted. I then put the HDD back in the machine (with no changes to anything)

I changed the BIOS settings so it would boot from CD first then HDD.

I placed my bootable CD in the machine (and later on made another bootable CD and ran same process).

The machine starts up it says

    Boot From CD

    then says
Press any key to boot from CD.
I press a key as suggested but the ... keep going and then attempts to boot off my HDD (which it cant and I get NTLDR is missing)

I have tried 2 keyboards and still can not get it to boot from the CD.

The CD is bootable as I have just used it on another machine recently.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Jason

Try enabling BIOS USB Support from your BIOS and boot to the CD there (you need to learn your motherboard's keys such as f2, esc, f12)
