Cannot see USB flash drives

G'Day all.

On SP3 unable to see USB flash drives.

1. In Computer Management>Disk Management I can see them, they do not have a letter assigned.
2. If I assign a letter they still do not appear as 'normal' as a drive to access via 'my Computer'
3. However while I'm in Computer Management>Disk Management I am able to 'right-click' & open them to access contents.
