cannot connect using HTTP, HTTPS, FTP

    New instalation including SP3. I can connect to infrastructure uising USB to WI-FI adapter and both Firefox and IE can send a HTTP request and remote host can try to divert it but neiter brouser can read the reply. Network connection status shows recieved and sent packets, Netwprk diasgnostics says windows cannot connect using HTTP, HTTPS or FTP but I do see the revised URL that I am trying to read. This hapens when the XP firewall is turned off. There is no other firewall or anti virus software. The attached gif contains more info.

    Yes there are a lot of posts but This is a bogus error. It just means something is wrong, not that specific ports are not working. I found my problem - the clock was set so the lease expired before the true current time.
