Cannot boot with external devices attached

    I am running SP3 on a HP 220a computer with a Toshiba 1TB and a MyBook 2 TB storage device attached. When either of these devices are plugged in I don't get past the HP boot screen.

    Is this because XP thinks I am booting from there and if so how can I redirect the boot?
