Can`t maximize window

Hi
Iam having a problem, when I run a program ( Sybex virtual lab e-trainer ) I cant maximise the program window. The maximize button is greyed out. I have tried all the usual things to maximize this program, but with no luck. Any help woud be appreciated.

Strange! Have u tried running this program in full screen on a different computer?
If not, try that or try right click on the program and properties, and Compatibility - Check if the compatibility mode is turned on.
