not sure but since you are paying, you might call up their customer support and ask how long they intend to develop updates for their security in connection with xp.
most are not going past 2016 or so, which is why I use 360 Total Security Essentials by Qihoo, since they are supporting xp to some far time in the future so far.

You can still purchase previous version of McAfee if you are running Windows XP.
However, as Elizabeth23 correctly stated, not many are passing 2016 - many have dropped support to Vista before XP, in fact, lucky.
