    Hi guys,
I have today booted up a laptop that I haven't used for a few years, shortly after loading windows it asked to install Windows update which I decided to do, it took about an hour to do as there was 70 of them. After it asked me to re-start the laptop, however, it went to a blue screen displaying error c000021a, I have tried to re-start with last working settings (via pressing F8 on start up) but still goes back to Blue screen, any ideas would be welcome.

can you boot to safe mode??

if so then do a system restore to a point before the updates.

if this is successful, then do about 10 updates at a time checking which updates they are each time, to ensure that it is a necessary update.

if the restore was unsuccessful then read through several threads on the above search page and then come back with any questions, and as per MinecraftPlayer, need the make, model, and model number of you pc, laptop or desktop, version of xp, home, MCE or professional.
