blue screen on dell laptop

    hi everyone. I am trying to fix up my buddy's laptop, but i got a blue screen. I need some help. i was just cleaning up programs, and updating it and such. then all of a sudden, when the updated were working-blue screen. the message i got was "kernel stack inpage error" any ideas? any help would be appreciated.
