I'm facing a BIOS issue on my Dell Dimension 8300 series desktop running Windows XP. In the BIOS, under Drive Configuration, I noticed that my SATA Primary Drive, Primary Master Drive, and Secondary Slave Drive are all set to "Off." When I switch them to "Auto" mode and reboot, all three devices appear as Unknown Device.
I've owned this desktop since it was new, featuring an Intel Pentium 4 processor clocked at 3.2 GHz. The SATA Secondary Device is recognized as a "Hard Drive" while both the Secondary Master Slave Drive and Secondary Slave Drive are listed as "CD-ROM device."
The bottom line in Drive Configuration states "IDE drive UDAM IS ON." Any help with this issue would be appreciated.
