    Hallo
I'm still in XP and OE 6.
I'd be grateful for info/advice re manipulating the auto-completion of correspondents' names in Outlook Express 6. It's not that I can't tweak it all - for many of my most frequent contacts, I have filled in the Address Book in such a way that their names come up correctly after 2 or 3 characters. But there are others where I just can't achieve this effect. There is one person in particular where I have now reduced the entry to just two letters (and not a common combination), and if I use the search facility in the addressbook itself, it goes straight to the correct 'card'. But if I put those letters in the 'To:' line of a message, when I press 'send', I get the 'doesn't recognise' error message, and am presented with a huge list of 'possible matches', some of which don't include the letters in combination at all!

Any pointers would be much appreciated.

    seems to work

The suggestion to use an non-alphanumeric character seems to work.

Which still begs the question (seems to be a common theme in threads on this subject) why purely alphanumeric options seem not to be consistently processed.

Ah well, what would the universe be without mystery ?

    Many thanks
