Am I allowed to use Space Cadet Pinball?

I've read that the company behind Space Cadet Pinball, Cinematronics, was acquired by Maxis, and Maxis was acquired by EA. Since Microsoft has utilized it previously, do they hold the rights to it?

Unless you uninstall it no one can stop you from playing Space Cadet Pinball.

Someone even ported it to work with modern Windows OSes.
