XP Activation Help

Hi, I'm really stuck and cannot work out what I can do.

I am running windows xp on a Mac using parallels.

I have this just to run one specific piece of software I use to write
electrical certificates.

I downloaded a copy of xp can't remember from where it was over a year ago
i have been ignoring the pop ups about activation.

Whist trying to use a usb stick with xp today i was having trouble so i restarted
windows and now it won't let me in till i activate it.

Obviously I don't have a key as i downloaded the software,
can i buy a Key??? I haven't found a obviously answer to that and the online and telephone
support from Microsoft has just not got me anywhere.

I don't know what to do now, I am going to loose months of test certificates for the electrical
jobs I have done if i can't get back into windows.

Does anyone have any ideas.......................

what do you mean by the illegal way???

IF you have any ideas as this is gonna cause me so much
work if i can't get back into windows even if its only for 5 mins to back up the database :confused:
 
I don't want to directly link to anything, I risk a ban or something from this board, but there's ways to do it illegally like code generators (which might not work but I don't know, unfortunately most of those are for windows).
 
hi, i've tried list of keys available online but they don't work, i don't really understand how specific they are to the install.

Microsoft has said they can't help, i am offering to pay for a licence or a product key but they just pay no we don't support it anymore.

No point buying a copy from a retailer as i need the copy installed to work as that has the files on it that i need.

As microsoft aren't interested in taking my money they i can't see that finding a key another way can now be considered illegal, surely they should now remove the product key activation.

ahh this is so annoying months and months of work locked away :(
