Terragen always a popular terrain generator... However past 0.9.43 it was a nodal freak & very hard to master... Most peeps just taking someone elses files then modifying it...
Terragen of this version was crippleware, yes you could use it as long as you want but without a key there's no high resolution rendering nor animation...
Key is included....
So do this... Install first then place key in Terragen root directory... after that there is an overwrite folder with another 'Terragen' in it... Overwrite this to the installed root directory of 'Terragen' following directory structure... In other words 'Terragen' folder is copied onto 'Terragen' directory with a warning "Terragen already exists do you want to overwrite the folder?'... Yes, YES!....YESSSS!!!! This installs a buncha plugins-addons & standalones the EASY WAY!
BUTT! There's also a folder of utilities that have to be installed to function...

Here I start by making water plane-
Then make stuff poking up through-
Then give it some coloring-
Here's one I did to test how well the render would be & take on old HP dv4000 single slow core... What took time was the water rippling & the sea foam but great way to use an old laptop as a rendering engine-
Plan was to add carcasses along the shore, maybe piles of turds, junk, washing machines, etc...
