I have a strange problem with the audio on my laptop.
basically, i have a dual boot win8/winXP and on my windows 8 install the internal high definition audio bus is detected correctly,i can install the drivers and i have sound. But on my XP install it is not detected at all, like if it was not connected to the PC.

The PC is a Toshiba C50-A-1DE, it got an IDT sound card

I find that sometimes I have to manually install a driver where the auto install option(s) don't detect.
