I bought a used computer with XP Pro installed. On the System screen in shows the name of the original owner. Can that be changed to show my name. I have the original XP disk.

Try this:

Run Registry Editor (type regedit.exe or regedt32.exe in Run and hit enter). While in Registry Editor, navigate to:

Hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows nt\currentversion

Double-click on these entries: RegisteredOwner and RegisteredOrganization, then change the values to your liking.
