Well I have bought a number of XP machines I think I am at @ 13 now & all laptops no desktop towers... Have had one too many with nVidia graphics go out so I don't recommend nVidia even though they are considered the best... For 'Light Gaming' just about anything should work if the game is about as old as the machine or older you should be OK, older games usually better anyway...
I used to get my machines off craigslist but now only ebay... You can get some pretty good deals if you 'Keep Your Antennae Up' whilst looking about... Some prices are ridiculous on there...
About 5 years ago I got two laptops from same seller for $9.99 & $12.99 plus shipping starting bids... This was because they were new & had no sale history or feedback but they were quite good on the forthright side... Last purchase on ebay for me was an HP Zv5000 laptop in near mint condition that had been stowed away in a business for many years had nice 256 GB HDD too all for 25 bucks plus shipping... Same deal there I was only one to bid & I sent an offer which seller sat on till it almost expired as probably to see if anything better came up...
Depending on the games you might wanna watch what OpenGL rating the machine is at... Running DX games should not be a problem...
Many on there 'CRAM' windows 11 on these old laptops in which case I gotta reformat & install XP I still don't know how they manage to get that crap system on them... Not useable with 11 as most resources are all used up just idling...
In the end what anybody recommends depends on what games you wanna utilize...
