New MyPal browser extensions ?

Guys and gals,

I see there is a new version of the MyPal browser, and was wondering if anyone is using it ? I wanted to know if you can still install extensions on this new version, like in previous versions ? Thanks !
 
Sure you can! Here's one page of extensions I'm using in Mypal, not the full list, because resolution :rolleyes:...

I have uMatrix in that list, I had uBlock Origin but I consider uMatrix to supersede it, same with AdBlockPlus. You can certainly run ABP and UBO, they are pretty much set-it-and-forget-it, where as uMatrix is interactive. I'm also running addons AudioContext/Canvas/WebGL fingerprint randomizers, if you're into that sort of thing!

Which version are you on ... I'm staying with 68.14.7b because 8b has more bugs because feodor decided to break away form xul. I'm surprised your extensions do work on this new 8b ... or are you on 7b more like Hydra with the windows 10 theme when all the extensions do work as well.

I'm using two versions, mainly : 68.14.1b for everyday general sites, and 68.14.5b for sites with video like YouTube. The videos play better on 5b, but 1b is more stable and not as clunky or as slow as 5b.
 
To be honest, you should be just fine updating to 68.14.7b and I usually have up to 20 tabs open and all my extensions do work just fine; however, I would avoid 68.14.8b and stay with xul until feodor gets where it needs to be because there have been issues reported. Personally I have no intention to get away from xul any time soon. If I did I'd still keep 68.14.7b and use 8b and future builds on a portable profile so as to not mess up my current profiles.

Create a batch file in the same directory as mypal and make the shortcut to:
mypal.exe -no-remote -p default

Have a good one.
