A friend reminded me about the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool (MRT). It's built into every Windows version including XP, although the XP version hasn't been updated since 2016. But it still works. Apropos, I ran both a quick and full scan, and in both cases it found 4 infections during the scan. The problem is, MRT didn't fix them as it is supposed to do. Weird thing is that after finishing the scans, MRT reports "no infections found", thus contradicting itself. Maybe that's part of the infection? In any case, I ran a full Panda Dome scan as well as Malwarebytes, and nothing was found by them either. I'm thinking of installing either Avast or AVG - at least temporarily - to get a "second opinion". Any ideas or suggestions about what's going on here? Thanks

Why does during full scans, there are infections. After it is done scanning for a few hours, it shows no infections. I am confused! Thank you in advance. :) ***Moved from Windows***
