Looking into the brushes folder in Krita found that they were associated with ChaSys Draw IES which is also very good, BETTER in many ways... Opening up some including animated brushes they will get saved as animated brushes inside ChaSys....
Another way to repurpose Krita brushes & many other formats too...
Get ChaSys, Works GREAT on XP & I think you can install all the way down to Windows 2000 (not completely sure)... Updated many times a year...
