Gagging to death on libre down load

HI FOLKS

so i finally respond to need to up date my Libre word program and new down load install, screen icon and all,,,,,,but will not open my old libre files, its starts to open and i get new graphics and then it disappears

I went to the help site which is a blistering nightmare to use, i mean real mental illness, complete mind field of non sense, no mods to intervene.

any body got any ideas how to get on with my life after this, cause that site is just sick

thank for any medicine you can supply

THANK YOU ELIZABETH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it really jammed my xp up, during install the old 4. something program did not uninstall right, and it was hard to remove, but i got it out.
reinstalled the new 5. something, it still only half opens.

Will remove as you say and try old program.

WARNING to anyone, they have changed their "Help Forums" and its a pin ball game to use,

I was never able to even post a question, it may be broke, but the day i used it, it was the worst designed site i have ever used:eek:

HURRAY AND THANK YOU ELIZABETH

So I go to libre archives and their past versions archive and nothing down loads.

I find complaints all over the place about how mentally ill their site is, I needed that, one guy said the place gave him super migraines.:confused::confused:

Any case i go to other archive sites, their down loads go to 404 page.
finally i find a site that recommends 4.3.5, it down loads, scanning it said bug free and now i have a way nicer program then the newest my roommate has, 4.3.5 is very easy to use, much more intuitive (HUMAN)
then my old and the newest.

I also still use Office 2003 on my main XP machine. :)

In my case, because it does what is required of it.

This particular machine is rarely required to perform office tasks, so purchasing anything more up to date would be a waste of money. 2003 just sits there in the background, does not pester me to update, etc, and is available on such rare occasions when the need arises.

(Machine in question serves mainly AV tasks, where XP outperforms later Microsoft offerings!)

On my W10 machines though, Libre has always been problem-free.
