Hi,
I have a regular Windows XP Professional with a valid licence, but I encountered a problem running the following updates both via Windows Update and using the "shut down" utility.
(KB2833941)
(KB928367)
(KB954154)
(KB929399)
Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Service Pack 1
(KB2542054)
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 (KB951847) x86 Language Pack
(KB2600217)
(KB2468871)
(KB968930)
(KB909520)
(KB928416)
(KB829019)
(kb2876229)
Windows Live Essentials
The very first one and the second one are about the .net frameworks; I have installed all the .net releases from the very first one to the last one (4.0 Full).
The third one is just a normal "protection update" and the third one is Windows Media 11 SDK.
The forth one and the fifth one are about Visual Studio 2010, that I have installed.
The sixth one is about the .net framework again, as well as the seventh and the eighth ones that are about the .net 4.
The ninth one is about Power Shell 2.0 and WinRM 2.0.
The tenth one is about CSP for smart cards.
The eleventh one and the twelfth one are about .net framework 3.0 and 2.0.
The last but one is about a Skype update and last but not least (or maybe yes xD) Windows Live Essentials.
They all failed to install without any specific error.
Any clues?
I'm running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 32bit, of course.
