This I found awhile back which is the LAST version of Carrara before being bought out by crap company DAZ... After that each Carrara they released got worse even breaking the render engine in version 8 & only rectified in the 64bit version...
Hexagon never made it out proper with terrible framerate & resource management finally DAZ just gave out Hexagon for free... The last Hexagon by Eovia? It's EXCELLENT!...
I think alot of this stems from the backstab by DAZ when buying up Eovia... They said they would hire on all the Eovia staff but apparently this was a handshake deal as soon after the deal closed they FIRED the entire Eovia staff so I think a few 'gotchas' were injected into the codebase by angered Eovia staff before leaving the building....
