Is the echo on the original file(s) ?

If so the seminar was badly recorded and there's not a lot you can do about
it.

Cheers,
Jerry

OK, so we assume the file plays correctly in WMP - is that right ?

What WMP are you using ? You can check to make sure no "Enhancements" are
turned on by error.

Try using this software to burn a CD, did that also add echo ?

http://cdburnerxp.se/

Try playing the resulting CD back on something other than your PC. What are
the results ? Echo or no echo ? If echo then as I said, the original file is
no good.

If no echo, then you'll need to check for what Enhancements are turned on in
WMP.

Post back the results.

I sorry, WMP 11. I didn't burn a CD on this " CD Burner " ( no publisher,
don't trust the site ). The last time I tried something like this ( no
publisher ) I got myself into unwanted problems.I was looking forward to
trying this out. Get rid of this avoiding echoing.

Believe me, you can trust this site. I have downloaded and used this burner
before. The fact that it isn't MS credited (ie have a publisher) simply
means in this case that the software makers didn't submit it to MS to be
checked - you have to pay for that service !!!

Anyway, your anti virus would pick up any mal ware ..... you do have one ?
If any software asks you at any stage if you want to install a Yahoo or
Google (or other) toolbar ALWAYS say no, by either unchecking a tick box or
clicking a No button.

In WMP11 you should be able to check on the Enhancements.

If you don't have any other Music software installed, then until you post
any of the above two results, we can't really go any further.

Cheers,
Jerry

When you say 'echoing', do you mean a reverb effect like being in a church or
similar, or a singe direct repetition of each sound like BLAH-blah ONE-one
TWO-two TESTING-ting, or multiple repetitions of each sound like
BLAH-blah-blah-bl...

And does the echo only appear on the CD you burned, or does it play back
like that from Windows Media Player?

What format is the sound file of the seminar you recorded -- i.e. .mp3, wav,
or what?

If you try playing or burning a different file in the same format, like
another mp3 or wav or whatever, do you still get the echoing effect?
