I have several computers running XP with all updates installed.
I get a warning from Microsoft Security Center, like every day, that my computer may be at risk because Microsoft Security Essentials reports that it is off.
It's not off, it's never off.
I usually update the Microsoft Security Essentials and the warning goes away.

Any other way to make this warning leave me alone?

    Are you using CCleaner?

if so uncheck the boxes under, cleaner, applications, windows, uncheck boxes for MS antimalware and MS security client

    run quick scan and reboot.

    does problem persist?
