Memory issue help!!

    I got a new used Dell XP Pro desktop. I added more memory and now it just loads to Bios and tells me I added new memory and that to push F1 to set up it wont go automatically to set up mode. What do I do to configure the memory?

    Also How do if a memory stick is only working partially: is it no good will it interrupt my computer and do like what it is doing above?:confused:
