Problem with sp3 upgrade

    Hello i have a computer that runs on windows xp professional 32 bit with sp2.
    I want to upgrade to sp3. Is there a way to upgrade now that offical windows support does not exist?

    go to above site (with thanks to Mike_Walsh) to download sp3 as the only one available from microsoft download center is sp3 embedded, which is for POS ready xp.

    support ended means that no NEW updates will be released but the ones up to 2014 are available, I have used PortUp to download all my necessary updates and save them to a flash drive so that when I reinstall, I can just run port up and that leaves very few updates to download from windows updates.

    Should i backup files before i upgrade;
    Is that sp above checked;

    sp3 is an update NOT an upgrade, it is always good to back up files

    always download a file to your desktop and scan it with your security programs.
