KernelEx and Unofficial SP4

I'm surprised there is no talk about stuff like this (being a Windows XP Forum and all). These could be VERY exciting developments that extend the life of the OS.

KernelEx is in it's early stages and promises to allow the running of otherwise unsupported applications on Windows XP:

The Unofficial SP4 updates any system from SP1 onwards to January 2016 (one needs to be of the mindset that POSReady updates are actually a good thing - it's still works VERY well), so it incorporates updates and allows the running of .NET 4.5, PowerShell 2, and includes some security enhancements.

I will not install any of the sp4's out there because they one and all have something that I do not want installed.

I have used portable update, this downloads all the updates and will install all the updates, and you can also download more updates of your choice and add them to portable updates cache and then get those installed at the same time also.

This is what I do, BUT, if I had another drive I would image the drive once I had reinstalled it to my satisfaction .

 

Well, as an example, I wouldn't want any .NET Frameworks installed by default, and I personally do not use PowerShell. Though it is cool to get .NET v4.5 working.
