Media Center on XP Pro

    I am trying to get Windows Media Center to work in XP. I already have the files from the installation media, but Media Center stops with "Windows Media Center only works on Windows XP MCE". In Windows 7, it works, both in normal mode and XP Compatibility mode. Is it possible to trick Media Center into thinking XP Pro is XP MCE?

    MCE stands for Media Center Edition. You have XP not XP MCE. Don't worry. MCE isn't that big of a deal. It just looks fancy!

    I think they want media center on regular xp.
