Backports of Win7+ features

    Probably the two backports that will make me abandon Win7+ completely (and bask in the glory of XP for eternity):


    1. Ability to mount .vhd files (virtual hard drives). There is Microsoft VirtualServer 2005 R2 SP1. But it only works on XP SP2 not SP3.


    2. Window's native speaker enhancements (particularly virtual surround and bass boost). I'm currently using SRS Audio Sandbox for XP. It's the audio enhancement that was licensed to major TV makers like Sony a few years back. Unfortunately, it can't compare to the acoustic richness of Windows virtual surround/bass boost from Vista onwards...


    So, if anyone knows of backports/alternatives to those features listed above. Do share them in this thread. Thanks.
