Remote Software Recommendations Sought

A good friend of mine lives a considerable distance away, so I won't
have access to her PC for a while.

However, she wanted to know if I could look at it remotely.

We both have Windows XP Home. Rather than futzing around and trying to
force Remote Desktop onto my PC (I've never done it, but there are
apparently hacks available; however I'm not interested in doing that),
what are my options? Are there any quality free programs that can do
this?

TIA.

yes teamviewer uses the web to tunnel to the other user, so no need to mess
with the router/modem. she will get a password on her end that she can give
you to access her pc.... www.teamviewer.com
