Assume I am sitting in a public location like bar or hotel lobby and use the public wireless (WLAN) service
to surf the Internet.
Ok, I am using a WPA2 key encryption for the way mynotebook--->WLAN Router
So this step is safe against logging.
But then the WLAN router decrypt my (DNS) requests, my emails and all other stuff.
An evil guy could log all this traffic into a logfile.
How can I prevent this? I am not talking about military grade saftey but just avoiding the possibility
to log my traffic at the used Router?
Suggestion: If I use a (public) proxy (which I trust). Then the way
mynotebook---->WLAN-Router--------->Proxy
should be completely (!) hidden.
Is this correct?
Any other suggestion?
