Hi David,

....re "malware free", so do I ....hope that I am !
Though, after installing MS forums bridges via all that "Live" gibberish,
I'm not so sure anymore :-(

I got the "bridge" working, had a quick rummage, and then promptly
uninstalled it, than had to adjust firewall rules generated by AVG.
....didn't like the 127.0.0.1 redirect that was going in in there.
Particularly didn't like MS telling me, in their blurb, that the "bridge"
software was, in as many words, nothing to do with them !

....and a couple of days ago AVG real-time scanner decided that my old Epson
R300 Status Monitor (E_S4I0F2.EXE) was nasty, and a young lady at AVG
emailed me to say that the false positive is corrected, so I removed files
exclusions, and all is fine.

....happy computing.

Well, over the past couple of days, I reinstalled MS / Connect NNTP "Answers" bridge, and subscribed to a couple of forums,
(..ANYTHING other than having to use the horrid web page forum interfaeces (intentional typo there btw:-), and they all seem to be filled with foreigners that can't speak English, and asking questions such as :-
"helloo there, my name is Ting Tong Macadandan and I am in Thailand, (or is it really a tin shed in Nigeria), and my 'puter is wrong colour - and does nothing when shouted at, ....how to fix ploblem ..pleez !
......what I really mean is pleez send money straight way to following addresses. ...."

:-)

regards, Richard
