Okay reposting cause help is needed.

Hi all I am here once again still having a problem with my XP and need your help. My computer is only booting up in a black screen and I have to push f1 to get it to work. Can someone help me figure this out?

Should I just do a reinstall or system recovery?

I'd reinstall if you have the Windows disc. If you can't see anything but the black screen then you'll have no other option. Unless you can go into safe mode using the F8 key I believe it is or some computers have the F10 option for system recovery. If those don't work then you should just reinstall. I'm doing a reinstall of Windows myself because of updates not working due to errors I assume.
